The topic of my PhD was a biosystematic investigation of the genus Elymus L. and related genera of the tribe Triticeae (Poaceae) in the Western Mediterranean aimed at developing a taxonomic revision for the Flora iberica project. 
Experienced in cytogenetics by in situ hybridisation techniques (GISH/FISH), foliar anatomy and taxonomy.
Visiting researcher at the Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences of the University of Iceland.
Work experience as technical specialist at the Herbarium of the University of Salamanca (SALA), scholarship holder at the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology of the University of Salamanca and scholarship holder the Department of Sciences (Unit of Botany) at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
